SUMMARY:Book Presentation "Escape from the Central Bank Trap" by Daniel Lacalle
DESCRIPTION:We live in strange times. In the past eight years the US has created more money than in the previous fifty years combined\, and at the same time interest rates have never been so low. However\, total real gross investment in the OECD as a whole only returned to the pre-crisis level by 2014 and remains sluggish at best. In the same period\, companies have been increasing cash flow generation and dividends and buy-backs have soared. \nWhy is this happening? \nDaniel Lacalle will explain the reasons for these events in the presentation of his book «Escape from the Central Bank Trap». \nIn the presentation we will also have the IEB Professor Enrique Pérez Hernández\, together they will analyze the facts and the opportunities. \nMr Lacalle is an economist and corporate advisor\, as well as fund manager. He holds a PhD in Economy\, the CIIA financial analyst title\, with a post graduate degree in IESE and a master’s degree in economic investigation. He is a member of the advisory board of the Rafael del Pino foundation\, and Professor of Global Economy and Strategy at IEB.
