SUMMARY:Book Presentation "Escape from the Central Bank Trap" by Daniel Lacalle
DESCRIPTION:We live in strange times. In the past eight years the US has created more money than in the previous fifty years combined\, and at the same time interest rates have never been so low. However\, total real gross investment in the OECD as a whole only returned to the pre-crisis level by 2014 and remains sluggish at best. In the same period\, companies have been increasing cash flow generation and dividends and buy-backs have soared. \nWhy is this happening? \nDaniel Lacalle will explain the reasons for these events in the presentation of his book «Escape from the Central Bank Trap». \nIn the presentation we will also have the IEB Professor Enrique Pérez Hernández\, together they will analyze the facts and the opportunities. \nMr Lacalle is an economist and corporate advisor\, as well as fund manager. He holds a PhD in Economy\, the CIIA financial analyst title\, with a post graduate degree in IESE and a master’s degree in economic investigation. He is a member of the advisory board of the Rafael del Pino foundation\, and Professor of Global Economy and Strategy at IEB. DESCRIPTION:El próximo jueves 22 de junio se celebrará el «IEB Digital Banking & Fintech Day 2017»\, en el que el Departamento de Investigación del Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) publicará las conclusiones de su «Anuario de banca digital y Fintech 2017»\, con el patrocinio de Telefónica\, Indra\, Inversis Banco e Informática El Corte Inglés. El estudio será presentado por su coordinador Luis Castejón Martín y ha contado con la colaboración de las entidades más relevantes de la industria financiera. El informe proporciona los principales indicadores de la transformación digital de la banca en España y analiza asuntos como los retos de la banca digital\, el entorno competitivo del sector financiero\, el papel de las empresas de telecomunicaciones en los servicios financieros o el impacto de las Fintech en la transformación del sector financiero español\, entre otros. \nEl evento\, que se celebrará en el Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid a partir de las 16.00 horas\, reunirá a algunos de los mayores expertos de España en innovación y tecnología financiera\, a los principales socios en transformación digital de la banca española y a representantes del ecosistema Fintech.
